I am a highly experienced charity leader and consultant specialising in governance, leadership, strategy and organisational resilience. I focus on: Leadership support to Chairs, CEOs and Boards; Strategy, culture and structure change; Income generation and financial sustainability. I am also passionate about and experienced in patient and public engagement in health.
I have a passion for bringing out the potential of people and organisations to deliver social impact. I am supportive and enabling, to help build organisational capacity and sustainability.
My main areas of interest are health and social care, international development. I am an 8 x CEO, with extensive experience of governance including on charity and NHS Boards. I have three degrees, including an MBA (with Distinction), and am a Chartered Manager (CMgr FCMI).
Strategy and sustainability – finding a new business model, global health charity
I worked with the Board to: agree an “interim strategy”, and deliver a restructure to streamline the charity, reduce expenditure and enable investment in fundraising. I also strengthened Board/Executive relationships and support.
Strategy, values, purpose and performance, international development charity
I ran a values and strategy review process to clarify purpose and goals. I delivered a restructure to focus on delivery. The result was improved morale and motivation, and all targets exceeded.
