Charity: North East Wales Mind

Location: Flintshire and Wrexham County with flexible/hybrid working

Role Type: Permanent

Work Type: Hybrid

Salary: Circa £45,000, depending on experience

Would you like to lead a charity dedicated to fighting for good mental health and wellbeing for everyone in North East Wales?

North East Wales Mind is now seeking a new Chief Executive Officer. It’s an exciting time for the charity as they deliver our ambitious new strategy and build on their excellent track record. The potential is huge!

You will be supported by their dedicated Chair, their committed Board of Trustees, their experienced staff team and their valued volunteers.

Role requirements

You will be a passionate advocate and ambassador for mental health services delivered across the region and be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrable track record of operating at Director level, managing, and embedding change
  • Experience working with statutory and non-statutory bodies to achieve commissioning, grant and fundraising targets to grow the business.
  • Clear and inspirational leadership and people management skills
  • Proven track record of managing, growing and developing support services in line with best practice, in different and diverse communities, ideally in health or social care sectors.

They are looking for a people person who enjoys fostering a positive organisational culture and motivating teams to achieve fantastic results. You will be comfortable leading and nurturing a team, some of whom, have themselves experienced the impact of emotional and mental distress. You will also be able to develop highly effective partnerships, be an active listener, bring authentic leadership, an entrepreneurial flare and ensure that the charity delivers high-quality services.

About North East Wales Mind

North East Wales Mind is a mental health charity that supports people living and working in Flintshire and Wrexham. They also work with partners throughout Wales to influence services across the country. They’re part of the Mind Federation, the largest charity provider of mental health services in England and Wales.
