I have had a varied career across international development, charities, membership organisations through to local government. My passion is supporting charities and social enterprises to grow and develop and, most importantly, thrive. I bring senior strategic experience of navigating different challenges and am a very solutions-focussed consultant, working with stakeholders and beneficiaries from a bottom up, collaborative approach. I also support charities with governance and internal processes, bringing 7 years' experience of being a trustee and working with Boards across a number of other organisations, including as CEO of a large charity.
My focus for consultancy is strategy, including strategic planning and operational development, organisational development as well as business development (fundraising, competitive tenders, bid development and services development) and governance.
Fundraising strategic planning, refugee charity
I developed a 3-year strategic and operational fundraising plan for an international refugee charity, to support them to reach their organisational goal of developing more centres for refugees.
Transformation programme, local authority
I supported the development of a sexual and reproductive health transformation programme in the East of England, which included commissioning discrete projects aimed at supporting women with additional needs and facilitating a project with teenage parents and professionals to provide them with better support across the health system.
Fundraising support, small disabled children’s charity
I supported a London-based children’s charity to develop their fundraising ‘case for support’ and funding pipeline and provided mentoring for their fundraising officer to develop their skills and knowledge about fundraising to help the organisation to deliver their social enterprise programme.
