John Tibbitts charity consultant

John Tibbitts

I work with public and third sector organisations to achieve their property objectives, supporting senior management and Trustees in developing strategy and delivering their property and estate management requirements, however large or small.

Prior to becoming a consultant and NED, I held a number of senior roles in major organisations, including Managing Director of a division of Kier Group plc, CEO of a joint venture company between Skanska and Essex CC and Group Business Development Director at The Hyde Group.

In addition to my work as a consultant I am also a NED at Thrive Homes and two trading companies set up by Sevenoaks District Council and I manage a property LLP for LB Harrow. I was also a NED at GreenSquare Group for 7 years.

Key Skills/Consultancy Specialisms:

Redevelopment scheme, Toynbee Hall (London)

I worked with senior management and Trustees of this charity on a mixed redevelopment scheme comprising office, residential and community uses. Advice included re-examining the development plan, evaluating options for an investment structure, constructing a development appraisal, cash flow modelling, risk assessment and mitigation and appropriate governance for the process.

Property options review, Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and the City of Westminster

As part of a wider project I advised on the property options relating to the joint library estate and made recommendations in relation to potential third-party income and rationalisation.

Property advice, Age UK Bromley & Greenwich

Supporting the CEO and Trustees on the sale of a redundant property with development potential including liaison with the selling agent, developer selection and contract negotiation.
