I am an experienced former CEO of a major arts / social enterprise charity, Cockpit Arts, and have a proven track record of successfully starting up, growing and expanding Arts, Charities & Social Enterprise organisations, including turnaround and enterprise development. I have been consulting for several years specialising in Organisational Development and Change Management including governance, strategic business planning, income generation, stakeholder engagement and communications. I am a qualified Social Enterprise adviser with coaching, mentoring and facilitator experience; an experienced Trustee in the visual arts and music sector and a Consultant Grant Assessor. As well as undertaking organisational briefs, I provide personal mentoring and coaching to CEOs and managers. The kind of work I like to do involves working alongside people to help determine the step changes that will have a transformational impact on organisations and their people and their beneficiaries and audiences.

Strategic workshops with staff team and advisory committee resulting in a change management plan comprising a new communication and political influencing strategy to better meet the interests of stakeholders including funders.
Facilitation of regional managers awayday, national social sector ‘home share’ organisation
Facilitation of awayday for regional managers working remotely to decide on new ways of working to better support organisational goals, resulting in agreement by managers to take on more of a combined leadership role and proactively and jointly inform and influence decsion making at the top of the organisation
Governance review and organisation structure review, housing cooperative with membership
Two 360 degree reviews one after the other providing, firstly, a prioritised list of recommended actions for improving goverance and the overall performance of the organisation, and secondly, an organisation structure review report with hands on support to put the recommendations into practice.
