Charity: Mind in Gwent

Location: Gwent

Role Type: Permanent

Work Type: Hybrid

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 pa depending on experience

Mind in Gwent will be a mental health and wellbeing charity forged from the merger of 3 well established Gwent located Mind federated charities. From October 2023, they will be able to deliver more for more people who suffer from mental health and wellbeing issues, adding regional influence and delivery capability to a deep understanding of local need.

They are now seeking a Director of Services to join the new leadership team to shape and implement Mind in Gwent’s strategy and help set the tone for a progressive, inclusive, learning culture which prioritises wellbeing and embraces diversity. Working closely with colleagues and committed teams across a diverse range of settings and services this role will have a huge impact on the development of Mind in Gwent.

Passionate about delivering high quality mental health and wellbeing programmes, you will be able to manage complexity, bringing together partners and services to ease access for service users as well as maximise services delivery impact. You will know how to best support and mobilise staff teams, as well as represent Mind in Gwent with senior stakeholders.

You will provide strategic leadership, working with colleagues, partners, and service users in diverse settings to ensure services are high quality, safe that both respond to and anticipate community needs. Your experience and credibility as a leader, together with your personal determination and compassion will boost the opportunity to improve mental health and wellbeing outcomes across the communities of Gwent.

You will be a strong advocate for the mental health needs of service users and communities and skilled in co-production to ensure service users are at the centre of all aspects of service design, development and delivery and able to articulate the vision and strategy with partners and commissioners.
