My background spans across the commercial and not for profit sectors, grounded in business analysis, strategy development, planning, transformation, governance as well as service delivery. My last employed role was Chief Operating Officer for Blue Cross, responsible for service delivery and design, our public affairs, as well as the research and welfare standards functions.
As a consultant I apply my broad skill set in a pragmatic way to help organisations address problems, develop strategies and build capabilities, such as ‘Partnership Approaches’ to drive impact, sustainability and income, ‘User Centred Service Design’ for social impact in the digital age, and ‘Impact and Performance Frameworks’ to achieve lasting and measurable impact.
I also enjoying leading organisations as an interim executive.
Key Projects:
Impact framework
Development of a 10-year theory of change and supporting performance framework, co-created with the Board, Executive, Staff, Clients and Supporters. This piece of work underpinned three strategic periods, informed our brand shift to pets and people, and aligned our organisation culturally.
Partnerships and collaboration
Established partnerships with key strategic outcomes, including broad and deep partnerships with RSPCA and Scottish SPCA, empowering our teams to work together in all areas of our charities. Building a trusted relationship with Pets at Home, enabling us to increase our trust income and develop a joint national foodbank service.
Service design, delivering impact sustainably by addressing users’ needs
Development of a digital, commercial behaviour service which offers a viable and accessible alternative to giving up your pet. Meeting user needs as an easily accessible online consultation service, with experts who give affordable and easy to digest advice. Financially sustainable, enabling the delivery of behaviour services to the pets in the rescue centres by the same skilled staff.
