I am a management consultant and business transformation professional with over 30 years’ experience of working with Board, Senior Executives, and Leadership teams to define, manage and implement change successfully. My expertise lies primarily in operating model development, organisation design, culture assessment & definition, change management and programme & project management and I have an extensive track record of working across a wide range of private, public, and not-for-profit sector organisations.

I started my career in IT at Barclays Bank and following involvement in several change programmes, joined the Group-wide internal consultancy function where I led the organisational design and change management practices. On leaving the corporate world, I worked in senior consulting positions at PA Consulting, Hay Group (subsequently Korn Ferry) and Project One, before embarking on my independent consulting career.

Key Projects

Organisational Review, Social Care Charity

Conducted an organisational review for the CEO of leading social care charity (c.£60m revenue/pa; c.1700 employees). Identified 17 recommendations for improvement and developed target operating model and new organisation structure (to CEO-2) to implement recommendations.

Post-merger Integration Programme, Rail Division of a Global Industrial Business

Led the development of a global operating model and organisation design for the rail division of a large Japanese conglomerate. Worked directly with the Global CEO and CHRO to shape, plan and support the implementation, across the UK, Japan and Italy, through the post-merger integration activity which tripled revenues to £3bn/pa and the global workforce to 12,500 FTEs.

Cost Reduction Review, UK Manufacturing Plant of a Global Automotive Business

Led a rapid review and organisational re-structuring of existing business for the Board of Directors of a UK manufacturing plant of a Japanese car manufacturer to respond to external business challenges and internal technology investments. Supported the implementation of subsequent headcount reductions of over 25% of ‘indirect’ employees.
