If you are ready to make an impact in defending democracy and challenging corruption, then we’d love for you to join us a Trustee, here at Spotlight on Corruption!
This is a great opportunity to use your strategic expertise to support our charity in influencing legal and policy reform. As a finance, anti-corruption or fundraising Trustee, you’ll help shape our organisation’s thinking at a pivotal point in our development.
So, if you share our passion in the fight for transparency and accountability, then we look forward to learning more about your valuable skills.
Spotlight on Corruption shines a light on the UK’s role in corruption at home and abroad.
We want to see a society with strong, transparent and accountable institutions which ensure corruption is not tolerated and democracy flourishes both in the UK and globally.
To achieve this, we highlight corruption and the harm it causes, and campaign to improve the UK’s legal systems and enforcement of the law.
We promote transparency and we practise it too. We fight for: better laws, tougher enforcement and stronger systems.
We are committed to building a more diverse and inclusive board. We particularly focus on gender balance and increasing representation from racially diverse backgrounds, as well as factors such as social mobility and age.
As Trustee; you’ll join a team combining deep expertise in anti-corruption, law and public policy with strong academic, research and advocacy experience. We value working in a collaborative and constructive way, valuing independent thinking, rigorous debate and fair, inclusive decision-making.
Together, we’ll work hard to make a difference. You’ll contribute to the development and oversight of our fundraising, anti-corruption or finance strategy, supporting our Board in guided discussions.
As well as gaining a clearer idea of your professional strengths and weaknesses, this is also a chance to learn new skills from others around your other commitments.
Please make sure you read our Candidate Information Pack before applying. It contains important details about the role and our organisation.
Don’t think you quite meet all the specifications? Please don’t count yourself out. We’d still love to learn more about your interest in joining Spotlight on Corruption!
