I am a governance, leadership and organisational development consultant, facilitator and qualified coach with 25 years’ experience in the voluntary and community sector. I work with people and organisations navigating complex relationships and structures. I help charities, not-for-profits and social enterprises improve governance, develop confident leaders and build healthy, inclusive organisational cultures.

I also have board-level experience, having served two terms as a trustee of a national youth charity. My work supports boards, senior leaders and teams in understanding how they work together, making effective decisions, developing talent and creating sustainable ways of working in line with recognised best practice.

Governance review, a national membership organisation with democratic governance structures

Led an in-depth governance review, including a desk review, surveys, interviews, facilitated workshops and training. The organisation has a long history, and its governance needed refreshing. The review resulted in updated structures, processes and practices in line with current recognised best practice.

Workplace Wellbeing Research and Strategy Development, membership network representing CEOs throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland

This large-scale research project engaged a range of stakeholders. The work included a desk review, survey, interviews and facilitated workshops to understand workplace wellbeing challenges for YMCA CEOs. It led to the development of a strategy and implementation plan designed to improve practice.

Leadership development coaching, Natural History Museum; sponsored by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport

Coached leaders across the museum to navigate their leadership journey. This included helping them develop in their roles, build confidence and deal with challenging situations. The coaching also supported greater awareness of their strengths and development needs, contributing to improved performance, workplace wellbeing and career progression.
