This online workshop in collaboration with the Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF) and The Fore is for foundations, grant-makers and social investors who are interested in their Environmental, Social and Governance practice, and want to support grantees or investees in this area.

It is timed to coincide with the second year of Eastside People’s ESG self-assessment survey for charities and funders which is open to July 25th.

This comes at an important moment as requirements in the new Charity SORP puts demands on charities to report on their environmental, social and governance activities.

We’ll explain about the changing landscape on ESG for the not-for-profit sector and hear what ACF has been learning from the Funder Commitment on Climate Change and the Fore on their efforts to develop an Environmental Fund.

Finally, there will be opportunities to sign up to a network to receive data from this year’s ESG survey for charities and enable funders to share good practice on improving sustainability standards across the sector.

This 1.5 hour workshop (10:00 to 11:30) will cover:

  1. Introductions
  2. A summary of Eastside People’s work on ESG
  3. The ESG regulatory context
  4. ACF’s insights from the Funder Commitment on Climate Change
  5. A case study by The Fore
  6. Q&A
  7. Next actions.

Our vision is to bring together a cohort of funders to explore results from this year’s ESG survey for charities, and to consider ideas on how the sector can support grantees/investees on their ESG development.
