I am an experienced research and strategy consultant, delivering practical, purposeful insights that reach the heart of the issue for organisations with a social purpose. With a background as an employment solicitor, I am attuned to understanding workplace dynamics and cultures. I have also held advisory, non-executive director, management and leadership (to Interim Director) roles for a range of social justice organisations. I draw on these experiences to support clients through governance, culture and workforce changes. Establishing myself as a trusted outsider-insider, in my strategic and evaluative work, I capture insights less accessible to those immersed in the day-to-day of a project or culture. As a research consultant, I have several years’ experience co-producing social impact work with marginalised groups.
Strategic review and support, a youth empowerment social enterprise
I worked with this organisation to review and restructure a significant programme of work, supporting the leadership team to identify the programme’s values and priorities, and redesign its governance model.
Culture change, a renowned national charity
I led a consultation and communications strategy which enabled the charity to roll-out a controversial, but essential policy change across its workforce and volunteer base.
Grant programme evaluation, a justice sector infrastructure organisation
I conducted an evaluation of a grants programme delivered in partnership with a government body and intended to combat systemic inequalities – measuring impact and recommending improvements for future funding rounds.
