As a charity consultant, I specialise in strategic planning, governance reviews, trustee training and sustainable/commercial income generation. With EP, I have worked on several strategy development (including theories of change) and business planning projects with a variety of clients, including the Duke of Edinburgh's Award, Right There, Association of Charitable Foundations (ACF), HomeStart, YMCA St Paul's Group, Humankind and Citizens Advice. I have also introduced a range of digital facilitation tools to project work with EP.
I have worked in the charity sector for over 20 years mostly working with youth, education and family charities, including Volunteering Matters, Young Citizens, Coram Family and Childcare and NCT. I started out as a youth worker, and have held volunteer management, partnership and director roles; many of my roles have involved participation, co-design and co-production, skills that I like to bring in to my consultancy work particularly through stakeholder engagement.
I also have an MSc in Voluntary Sector Management, and am a trustee for a youth social action charity, and a parenting charity.
