As a Non-Executive Director at EP and Global Vice President of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion at AtkinsRéalis, my passion lies in driving positive change and fostering inclusive environments.
In my day-to-day role, I collaborate with colleagues in our Social Value community, witnessing firsthand the transformative impact of partnerships with charities, social enterprises, and not-for-profits. I am excited to contribute to EP's journey into its next inspiring chapter, fuelled by our collective commitment to #DoingGoodBetter.
With 25 years of cross-sector experience in internal audit, procurement, estates management, talent acquisition, HR, crisis management, and equality, diversity & inclusion, I embody a history of breaking barriers. Originating from a working-class background, I trailblazed as the first college attendee in my family. Notably, I secured the title of youngest female internal auditor on the Magistrates Courts audit committee, alongside volunteering beyond my full-time role. As the first female scout leader in my locality and the youngest female vice president at AtkinsRéalis, I’ve consistently pushed boundaries.
My leadership style hinges on visibility, trust, and inclusivity, fostering positive transformations within my specialized domains. Creating psychologically safe environments is my forte, cultivating inclusive and sustainable outcomes. Fuelled by my passion for “Inclusion by design,” I continuously challenge conventional thinking, offering learning moments and fostering reflection in others.
Additionally, I hold the title of Fellow at the Institute of Equality and Diversity Professionals. I also take pride in being a Founding member of the Chief Inclusion Officers Forum of the World Economic Forum, underscoring my commitment to shaping inclusive and diverse professional landscapes at the highest levels.
Inspired by the dedication of colleagues in our Social Value community, I embarked on a non-executive career within the Third sector, driven by a shared commitment to making a difference.
