AI Consultancy Services Charity and Social Enterprise Eastside People (600 x 600 px)

Why Eastside People for AI?

AI is a relatively new but rapidly growing and evolving field of technology that has the potential to transform many of the tasks we do every day. Computer systems and machines based on AI can act independently or be guided by people. AI systems use human learning and cognitive abilities to perform complex tasks that previously only humans could do, such as solve problems, make decisions, make reasoned arguments and be creative.

With its ability to free up time spent on resource-intensive tasks (writing fundraising bids and organisational policies and analysing donor and beneficiary data for example), AI presents a huge opportunity (and associated challenges) for the not-for-profit sector to focus on its key priorities such as service delivery.

Where to Start with AI

Our approach to AI is to work with you to develop and empower your organisation to understand the potential of AI for your specific scenario(s) and to help you implement working solutions that deliver lasting change.

Our coaching-led approach means we will ask questions that will help you develop an approach to AI adoption that aligns with your values and goals in a cost effective and user-friendly way.

Based on our experiences working with early adopter users of AI, we have split our services in 6 categories, all of which can be delivered independently or as a series, based on where your organisation is on its AI journey.

The AI Journey for Charities and not-for-profits:

  1. Stage 1: Why AI?
  2. Stage 2: Experiment Safely
  3. Stage 3: Develop policy and Governance
  4. Stage 4: Prioritise your Strategic AI Use-Cases
  5. Stage 5: Explore your Operational Opportunities
  6. Stage 6: Specify Solution(s)

If it all seems a bit overwhelming, you could start with an introductory Artificial Intelligence Workshop.

These 2.5 hour in person or online workshops are for leadership teams who are keen to understand the implications of Artifical Intelligence (AI) for the strategy and goals of their charity, social enterprise or other not-for-profit organisation, and want to approach AI deployment and decision making with confidence.

Eastside People deliver AI Consultancy services in partnership with Tim Cook, Founder  of AIConfident. AI Confident is a social enterprise seeking to ensure that the rapid AI transformation is equitable, by helping leaders of Schools, Social Enterprises, and SMEs to responsibly embrace the transformative opportunity presented by AI.

Tim spent 4-years as Deputy Head and then Head of the UK government’s Office for Artificial Intelligence. He brings a wealth of experience and a passion for ensuring an equitable outcome from the current AI revolution.

AI is here now and is going to introduce big changes to the ways that we, and those around us, do things. We strongly recommend that charities get ready to take advantage of the opportunities that it brings.
