Our mission is to increase the capacity and impact of charities and other not-for-profits, and we have a theory of change which explains how we will get there

We invest in our community supporting them to be the best informed, to develop their practice, and to share know-how and resources so that we are more than the sum of our parts
We are experts in the charity and not-for-profit sector, having delivered over 3,000 projects over the past 20 years
We give back to the sector offering additional value through free or highly subsidised training, resources and initiatives
We know that what matters is what gets implemented in the real world, and so all our work is geared to generate learning on how to make organisational change stick.

We help organisations at any stage of their journey (during times of change, growth, or crisis) through consultancy, interim, and recruitment services
Offer a free Environmental, Social, and Governance self-assessment for charities and other not-for-profits in partnership with ACEVO
Host the Festival of Trusteeship: The largest learning event for Trustees, in partnership with the The Institute of Leadership, Stone King LLP, and other sector partners
Run the Action not Words programme with Board Racial Diversity UK – a free mentoring programme for aspiring or early stage trustees
Partner with the Association of Chairs and offer a membership package for all the Chairs, Vice Chairs and Committee Chairs we place
Map charity and not-for-profit mergers providing free open data on this through our Good Merger Index and Charity Merger Guide.
