Executive Recruitment Consultant

I made the switch to executive recruitment for the charity sector because I wanted to feel more invested in the mission and purpose of the organisations I partner with, using my skills to have an impact on causes I believe in.

I spent most of my career recruiting in the private sector, with a focus on senior hires within property and construction before moving to Eastside People in 2024 to bring my expertise to charities and not for profit organisations. I help clients to define their recruitment needs at leadership and board level then design and execute a search strategy that identifies and attracts people with the right skills and behaviours. I put in place inclusive recruitment processes, designed to remove bias and assumptions; focussing on skills and behaviours more than job titles and responsibilities.

Senior level recruitment thrives best when underpinned by a deep understanding of the organisation and the wider context. I chose to join Eastside People because the huge amount of expertise within the organisation, and the values-led approach to all our work both facilitate this understanding.

My wife also works in the charity sector, and we have two young kids. On the rare occasion they allow me time, I take the chance to play a bit of cricket and/or guitar.
