“I have thoroughly enjoyed my move into recruitment. As Eastside People is a social enterprise it allows me to use all my experience and knowledge of the not-for-profit sector and to focus my energies on finding the best people for our incredible charity clients, which continue to do such outstanding work despite the many challenges.”
Having worked in the charity sector for all my working life, I further developed my career over the last seven years by becoming an accredited executive and life coach and moving into recruitment with Eastside People. As the Recruitment Manager, I work with a wide range of clients to secure Chairs, trustees, CEOs and Directors as well as supporting Bernice and colleagues with their assignments.
Before joining Eastside People, I was Head of Healthcare Partnerships at the Stroke Association, working with pharmaceutical and medical device companies on partnerships for both the Stroke Association and the Stroke Alliance for Europe (SAFE). Over the years I’ve worked for charities large and small including the London Community Foundation, RNID and the Deborah Hutton Foundation where I was its first director, as well as working for UNHCR in Rome many years ago.
I hold the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) accreditation from the International Coach Federation (ICF) and am a trained mediator. I run my coaching practice alongside my work with Eastside People and enjoy how my weeks are always different, interesting and rewarding.
I’m married with one daughter and a dog, Luna, although only the dog now lives at home. Walking Luna keeps me busy, fit and happy when I’m not working as does cooking and singing and performing with my local community choir, the Boiler House Singers.
