Small Charity Week – How we help Small Charities

Eastside People would like to say a big thank you to small charities for the vital contribution and impact of the work you do.

Did you know that 45% of Eastside People’s overall business is made up of small charities and this has always been a key part of our work, part of our social mission and heritage?

Small Charity Week 2026 FREE Competition

The week of 22nd to 29th June 2026 is Small Charity Week aimed to raise the profile and celebrate the important contribution made by small charities to our communities.  To mark Small Charity Week, we’re offering organisations (with annual income under £500,000) the opportunity to win one of four fantastic prizes:

  1. A coaching package
  2. An executive advisory package
  3. A trustee recruitment project
  4. One of ten free full-board tickets for the 2026 Festival of Trusteeship.

Full Details of our Small Charity Week Prize Draw Offers:

  1. Three 1-1 one-hour executive advisory sessions delivered by our experienced strategy expert, Alice Memminger. The sessions will be held virtually over several weeks/months at a time to suit. This offer is suitable for senior managers or leaders who would like advice on strategy related development and/or implementation challenges
  2. Four 1-1 coaching sessions delivered by our experienced and accredited coach, Lucinda Shaw. The sessions will be held virtually over several weeks/months at a time to suit. This offer is suitable for senior managers or leaders, or those new to a leadership role, who would like to work on challenges or concerns in a confidential and supportive space.
  3. Support to recruit a trustee: Trustee recuitment including an initial scoping conversation, advice on role design, and a targeted search for one trustee candidate, alongside support to advertise and promote the opportunity. While the process may result in multiple trustee appointments through wider promotion and applicant interest, the proactive search element will focus on identifying candidates for one trustee role only.

Exclusions:

    • Services which form part of a full multi-role search or end-to-end project delivery (shortlisting, referencing, and appointment management)
    • Chair roles
    • Any additional roles or extended search activity unless subject to a separate agreement.
  1. One of ten free full 2026 Festival of Trusteeship board tickets (9th to 13th November 2026)

“Homeless charity Robes needed an experienced fundraiser on a six month placement to help with both generating income / creating a pipeline of applications, and to create a 3 year fundraising strategy. Eastside People provided us with Alice, who was brilliant, and made a real impact during her time with us. We would recommend using Eastside People for your recruitment needs.” Lisa Moodie, CEO.

“I just wanted to say a huge thank you again for all your support over the last 18 months – you’ve been absolutely fantastic, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for better guidance and help. I’m really sad it’s come to an end. The case for support document is brilliant and has already been such a big help in getting everything moving.” Rachel Mawson, Marketing & Community Engagement Manager.

“For Wander Wild Forest School, the Power Up London Accelerator Programme – and Ann Nkune’s support – have been a great way to take the first steps in our business. I feel more confident now, Having the support from Ann has made me feel I’m competent enough to run a business and I also know that there’s a lot of help and resource out there, if you know where to look.” Zainab Omokhe, Founder.

“I am writing to share some feedback regarding my recent experience working with Gail. Throughout our interaction, she was consistently professional and provided excellent insights into our operations. Her genuine care for the success of my business was evident, which is a quality that is truly rare to find. I wanted to ensure her contributions were recognized, as her support was greatly appreciated.”  James Marr, Founder and CEO.
