Why Eastside People?

Eastside People offers board search and recruitment services for charities and social enterprises. We are dedicated to supporting the charity and not-for-profit sector to find the best trustee candidates at a senior level, thereby strengthening boards and increasing the capacity and effectiveness of the organisation as a whole.

What can EP Help You With?

With a substantial record of appointing to board roles for a wide variety of charity and not-for-profit organisations (over 200 trustees placed), we have in-depth sector expertise and a genuine understanding of the intricacies of trustee recruitment and building effective boards.

We have helped many boards to diversify both in terms of skills and background and believe that people from different backgrounds bring perspectives and skills that create fresh ideas and improve outcomes.

We use open recruitment processes to ensure that our approach is fully inclusive and reaches a diverse range of potential candidates.  Our approach includes a mix of advertising, social media and a targeted search campaign, allowing us to reach both active and passive candidate pools. We are experienced in engaging people who may not have considered the role of trustee before, and work hard to remove the barriers that prevent people from applying to join trustee boards.

What We Are Proud Of

We have a substantial record of appointing to board roles and enjoy many repeat client assignments. We have placed many wonderful people into board roles and truly enjoy seeing the impact this has on the organisations we work with. We pride ourselves on taking a creative and determined approach to board recruitment, proactively searching for the very best candidates, and leveraging our networks and knowledge of the charity sector which we have built up over hundreds of consultancy and recruitment projects.

By working with inclusivity specialists such as Applied and Action for Trustee Racial Diversity we are able to assist organisations to improve the range of diverse candidates they reach during a Board recruitment project.

We believe in purposeful recruitment and enjoy offering a values led recruitment service.
