Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG)

Can we help you to measure and manage your ESG activities?

What is ESG?

The concept of Environmental, Social and Governance originated as a principle to guide investors towards making more ethical and/or responsible investments. More recently, ESG has evolved to encompass the work undertaken by charities and other not-for-profit organisations, who are expected (often more than most), to corroborate their social mission goals with evidence that they are having a beneficial impact on society and the environment.

According to the Charity Commission’s annual research, the public want to understand how money is spent, and know that a charity achieves its purpose, makes a difference and operates to high ethical standards.

Eastside People’s ESG Consultancy Services

Our services are geared towards helping organisations to assess their starting point with good baseline data and then to develop and improve their practice.

We provide support in each of the Environmental, Social or Governance practice areas, helping organisations to move through different maturity levels – from starting out to developing to advancing and then advanced.

Depending upon your organisation’s level of ESG maturity you can choose where to start within any of the 6 options listed below.

While there is real appetite from organisations across the sector to engage with ESG, most organisations (67%) do not yet have a basic ESG strategy, and very few have a holistic, fully integrated strategy (3%).
