Jamie Scudamore Eastside People consultant member

Jamie Scudamore

Consultant

I’ve spent my career leading local delivery for national charities. I’ve had senior roles at Mind, the Scouts and most recently, as a Director at the Prince’s Trust. In every role, I relied on a wide range of partnerships to be successful, including mergers. I want to use to my experience to help other charities make the most of the brilliant partnerships the sector has to offer.

Key projects:

Merger delivery, local Mind network

I supported a range of mergers to enable the growth and longer-term sustainability of local mental health services. This included working with local leaders in the South West to create three new organisations covering Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, where there had previously been seven.

Volunteer recruitment, Scouts & Girlguiding

I led a delivery partnership on behalf of the Scouts with Girlguiding to tackle a joint strategic challenge of recruiting more volunteers from a wider range of backgrounds. This included the procurement and development of digital tools, as well as securing £2m of external investment in the project.

Funding model review, NUS

I led a review of funding at the National Union of Students, which included recommendations to improve sustainability, the sharing of commercial income and amending contributions made by member organisations to reflect changes in higher education funding.
