Jane Stephens Eastside People Member

Jane Stephens

I am a highly motivated strategic and systems thinker who is able to quickly assess situations, diagnose problems & identify solutions with the ability to see the big picture and provide independent judgement. As a Chartered Engineer I have built on this solid foundation to work in a variety of technical, management and board roles. I deliver to customer expectations with a structured and collaborative approach to assignments, with excellent team facilitation. My wide ranging experience from capital design & build, to culture change and business system & process improvement projects are complemented with my proactive, energetic approach which is also pragmatic and adaptable.

Key Skills/Consultancy Specialisms:

Key Projects:

Lab equipment demand & acquisition programme, large corporate organisation

Stakeholder management & influencing of senior stakeholders to get business buy-in to develop this new cross-functional process. Lean approach to developing the demand process. This lead to reduced and more focused capital spend, better use of existing assets, reduced maintenance spend, reduced procurement costs, bringing support functions and scientists closer together, and change in the acquisition culture in R&D.

Board Development, charity organisation

Supporting a board to improve their processes and ways of working. Working with them to develop a 3-5 year strategy as well as helping put in place a new annual plan
