I serve as a very active non executive director and trustee of organisations focused on the healthcare or education sectors. I have particular interest in supporting strategy development, digital transformation, business change, marketing & stakeholder relationships at national and regional levels, particularly in the North of England & Scotland.
My background is in developing heavily advertised consumer brands in the food, drink and hospitality sectors before focusing on developing branded professional services business in the accounting, law and technology sectors. I now provide individual or team coaching, conduct Strategic Dialogue with Boards whilst participating fully in my portfolio of formal non executive roles.
There is a growing emphasis on supporting evaluation of partnership working, mergers or acquisitions.
Key Projects:
Scottish Digital Participation Charter
I have specialised in developing complex partnerships, often across sectors. Encouraged by an initial partnership between Microsoft and the Scottish Government, I facilitated a drive to improve Digital Participation in Scotland for citizens, communities, small business, third sector.
Partnership programme development
I am a non executive director of Spectrum Community Health CIC and a trustee of the Cellar Trust. Both are very active in developing a more formal approach to managing and growing often complex partnerships in the Health Care sector. My contribution is to join or advise those organisations with a growth mindset and ambitious Board on how best to deliver growth through formal partnership working.
Coaching, healthcare sector
I enjoy coaching individuals or utilising a Team Coaching model, to develop high performing teams. Each coaching assignment or Board development assignment is both confidential and very specific to an individual or a Board where we all have a shared values and a shared understanding of the opportunities or challenges ahead for individual, team or Board.
